Exclusive Shore Excursion to Rome

One of the greatest pleasures of traveling is being able to relax and enjoy the journey — and with a smooth, high-performance, and luxuriously comfortable ride, you’ll do exactly that!

Throughout our tour, I’ll delight you with captivating stories, legends, and traditions connected to every place we visit — all of which we’ll approach conveniently close by. Together, we’ll experience all of Rome’s most remarkable highlights!

During our time together, my priority will be to make sure your wishes and expectations are fully met. Since this is a full-day tour, we’ll take a well-deserved break for lunch to savor authentic local dishes paired with delicious Italian wine. And of course, no Roman experience is complete without enjoying a true espresso and a refreshing gelato!

Designed as a shore excursion, this tour follows a set timeframe, so we’ll carefully keep to the schedule to ensure you make the most of your day in Rome — and return to Civitavecchia on time. That said, the itinerary can always be tailored to your preferences, so feel free to reach out with any special requests!

After meeting you right outside your ship in Civitavecchia — I’ll be waiting with a sign bearing your name — we’ll begin our journey with a comfortable one-hour drive to Rome.

Once in the city, our first stop will be Gianicolo Hill, where you’ll admire the impressive Fountain of Paul V (Fontanone) and take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eternal City, accompanied by a genuine Italian espresso.

We’ll then head to the elegant Piazza Navona, built over the remains of the ancient Stadium of Domitian, followed by a visit to the Pantheon, Ancient Rome’s best-preserved temple still in use today.

Our route will continue through Rome’s charming streets until we reach the iconic Trevi Fountain, where you can toss a coin to ensure your return to Rome! Next, we’ll admire the famous Spanish Steps, then make our way to Pincio Hill and the beautiful Piazza del Popolo.

After a morning full of discoveries, we’ll pause for lunch to enjoy authentic Roman cuisine.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Piazza Venezia, home to the grand Vittoriano monument, dedicated to Italy’s first king.

To conclude our tour in style, we’ll take a scenic drive through the city’s ancient heart, passing by:

• The Roman Forum
• The Colosseum
• The Circus Maximus
• The Church of St. Peter in Chains (San Pietro in Vincoli)

After this memorable day exploring the best of Rome, we’ll return comfortably to the port in Civitavecchia.
